Am I wasting time going to college? (aspiring musician)?
I want to work in music, be in a band, and hopefully tour in other countries some day.
Right now I am 20. Rejected from Berklee twice… not in a band (I want to be in one)… I basically just practice at home, I am pretty good. I am planning on going to school now for sound recording tech as a “safe” way into the music industry. I can’t help but feel like I have wasted time with berklee, and now this new place. Should I just get on craigslist… find a band and move to LA or something? I always wanted to travel. Should I go to england?
I am conflicting with the same thing, I am 21. Of course, I took a year and a half of music education which was just a waste for me because I am a player, not a teacher. Right now I am out of college looking for bands to play with. If you do decide to make it the band route, you will have to move near some big city though, that is why I moved close to DFW.
