Would anyone hire me as a tutor for $20/hr in NYC?
Hi,
I’m a high school senior at a prep school that is interested in tutoring lower or middle school students- I’ve always loved working with kids! I’m a great student, friendly, flexible, and available most days after school and saturday afternoons, for $20 an hour. I’m well-rounded and can tutor math and algebra, reading/literature, and writing. I will travel to wherever a subway will take me, whether that be in a home or at a public library.
Now, I know that some families might be hesitant to hire a senior in high school instead of a pricey teacher, but I really think that I can help, and really relate to students. Should I just give up, or do you think someone might hire me?
