As expected, Davis Love III was appointed the captain of the American Ryder Cup team for 2012. The 20-time PGA Tour winner and 1997 PGA champion was introduced as the new captain at a news conference Thursday at the Ryder Cup site, Medinah Country Club outside of Chicago.
