KoTOR II: Galaxy map doesn’t work?

The galaxy map doesn’t work in my game. I had tried it in the tutorial, but when I selected Peragus and clicked travel the map closed and nothing happened. I just skipped the tutorial, got to Peragus, completed the missions and am now in the Hawk but the galaxy map still doesn’t work! I can’t get to Telos! My game is effectively stuck.

you may have to restart your game, kotor is glitch like that, but hey, at least you get the opportunity to change your light/darkness level
