I am a US citizen and I hold a valid US passport. This summer, after graduating from high school, I plan to backpack around the world.
I will be 17 years old at the time of travel. I have complete parental consent, and I have traveled abroad extensively.
What documentation will I need to travel and cross international borders/board international flights as an unaccompanied minor? Any other helpful information is appreciated.
You’ll also need a notorized letter from both of your parents saying they give consent for you to travel abroad and stating the reason you are doing this.
