Comments (0) Schengen Visa for Switzerland?
I am a South African with a working holiday visa for the UK. I booked a tour to Switzerland a few months ago, but on 12 December, Switzerland joined the Schengen Agreement, so I need to get a visa now.
I am currently in South Africa for a holiday and want to apply for the visa, but #1 the embassy here will not verify to tour group that I am using and accept the letter from them saying that I have paid for the tour in full and give details of the flights and accommodation.#2 They also want a letter from my employer, but I do not have one, as I am on a working holiday, therefore, I have casual jobs for short periods and then travel.
Has anyone been in my situation and have any advice? Would I have more success if I applied at the Swiss Embassy in London?
from 12 Dec 2008 you need a Schengen Visa -my friend’s supervisor went there on the 16 Dec without a visa and they sent him back to South Africa!
i think u can sill travel to swiss without shengan visa…….my friend is justbeen there with her uk workpermt visa
