Me and my wife want to travel from Kualalumpore to Singapore and back by road in the last week of October 07?

Me and my wife would like to make a trip to Singapore and back from Kualalumpore by land route during last week of October 2007. We would like to spend upto 3 nights in Singapore. We would like to know the following:
1.Mode of conveyance if we want to go by land route and the cost for our return trip both in ordinary and deluxe bus.
2.How much time it takes to reach Singapore from KL?
3.In which area to stay in Singapore?
4.What will be cost of one night’s stay in an ordinary air conditioned room for 2 of us?
5.What will be the approximate cost of the food for one person in a day?
6.What all places to visit and the approximate cost to visit the same?
7.Any other thing which you would like to tell us about our trip?

1. You can take a coach here, the ticket cost about RM30 per person for single trip. Or you can choose to drive yourself via North South Highway.
2. It’s will take about 5 hours by Coach, and less than 4 hours if you drive yourself.
3. There are many Hotels available across Singapore. However, if you are looking for budget hotels, probably you can try place like Geylang or Joo Chiat. These two places are nearer to town and have many nice foods available.
4. You can get less than S$50 per night for a budget hotel.
5. Foods as various hawker centre, food court and coffe shop are relatively affordable. It’s cost about S$3 – 5 per person for a decent meal.
