Is evanescence inappropriate?

i am 11 yrz old and in 6th grade. i have been listening to them since i was 8 and in 2nd grade. my parents and girl scout leaders say i am 11 not 18 and i am too young to listen to them but they have never listened to them(except my parents have listened to tourniquet and think its all about suicide but it was written by a christian band,soul embrace,and is about how u should NOT commit suicide) and
i have listened to every song ever written by them, seen all of their music videos, and know the majority of their lyrics and have only found 2 songs witch i dont listen 2 but other than that i have found nothing to object to.

I say it’s fine. Maybe you should have them listen to it. I know I like Evanescence, and although I do like “depressing” music, that band is not very depressing. She empathizes with the listener’s troubles, rather than make them worse.
