Planning a 3 week 6 country tour through Europe in 2011. any idea?

I am planning a 3 week 6 country tour of Europe in Summer of 2011. My countries are England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, and Germany. There are many things i want to see but i want to know what you guys think are some of the “Can’t miss” sites in these countries. My itinerary is going to be something like One week traveling through England, Ireland, and Scotland, 5 days in France, 5 days in Germany and 4 days in Italy.
I would definitely like to talk further but cannot figure out how to add you.

I’m Irish and I have been to England, Scotland, Italy and Germany. I don’t mean to be harsh when I say this, but as far as “can’t miss” sites, you’re going to miss all of them if you only allow yourself two days in each of England, Ireland and Scotland. Five days is enough for France, Germany and Italy, as long as you remain within one city in each.

I don’t want to stereotype, but a lot of Americans make the mistake of presuming that since European countries are small, it takes very little time to see them. The reality is, if you do six countries in three weeks, you’re going to miss out on all the good stuff. You’ll just rush through all the tourist traps and fancy architecture and never actually get a feel for the city and its atmosphere and culture.

The worst part is, it’s when you get to a European country that you’ll realise how much there is to see. And then you’ll go home disappointed that you didn’t have more time and you won’t really have had much of an experience.

If you want to talk further, feel free to email me. I’ll be able to give you plenty of advice. :)
